School course on environmental education Focussing on village land rehabilitation and sustainable management of natural resources Environmental Awareness Raising awareness regarding environmental issues and climate change through meetings, workshops, posters, publications etc. Adaptation   Small programmes to improve the resilience of the village ecosystem   Eco Works Tree plantation in village commons, tree and vegetable nurseries, protection and regeneration of degraded forests     Water Conservation Promoting rainwater harvesting, water storage tanks, percolation trenches, renovation of traditional water sources and springs   Energy A great deal of pressure on village forests and women is due to the requirement of fuelwood for cooking, heating and for agricultural purposes. Focus on introduction of smokeless chulhas(stoves), solar lanterns
