With our
support, a partner CBO, Himalayan Gramin
Vikas Sanstha-HGVS, have set up a small
fruit processing unit at Ukhimath (district
Rudraprayag) as an income augmentation
measure for the villagers, especially women,
affected by the June 2013 Kedarnath
disaster. This has led to a better
utilisation of local fruit produce, reducing
wastage and improving returns.

A youth group in Galla village in the
Ramgarh area (district Nainital) has also
been helped in setting up a small fruit
processing unit.
